KCDN SaskTel Breaking Barriers Season 2 Grand Finale

May 15, 2008, La Ronge, Saskatchewan – Keewatin Career Development Corporation (KCDC) was pleased to host our Grand Finale for Season 2. There were 375 students, 42 teachers in 13 First Nations communities participate with this event.
This leading edge innovative series of educational video conference programming, also provide students with insight into careers, interaction with role models, and Arts and Expression for the students.
KCDN Season 2 ran from October 15, 2007 through to May 15, 2008, and had 4391 students, 540 teachers participate in 70 First Nations Schools across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The First Nations SchoolNet program is supported by Indian and Northern Affairs’ Canada and along with the corporate sponsor SaskTel.
The SaskTel Breaking Barriers Series is part of KCDC’s developments under the Knowledge and Career Development Network (KCDN). The KCDN network is used to bring video conference programming, distance learning opportunities, and enhanced communications to Aboriginal communities across Saskatchewan and Alberta.
